From Katie:
I had to do a quick search of our site because I can’t quite believe I haven’t shared The Black Apple Etsy store before! I’m a huge fan of Emily Winfield Martin, and really love to explore the strange, magical worlds she creates.
Hinkleville is an Etsy shop featuring adorable handmade ceramics. I recently bought a little pot from them, and I absolutely love it! Its sweet, sleepy face makes me smile every time I see it.
I don’t know why exactly, but I am powerless in the face of a face vase. With her modern faces on objects that otherwise bear no resemblance to the human countenance, I almost get the feeling that Elizabeth Graeber is poking fun at the impulse, which makes me love her work all the more.
I have to confess that the resurgence of macrame and other wall-hanging fiber arts hasn’t really captivated me. That said, I am a big fan the tidy and textured work of Lisa Garcia of Sonadora. It’s like wall jewelry, and I love it.
Have you found any Etsy gems lately? Check back with us on Wednesday when Mera shares plans for her new master bedroom!
I like Melanie Wickham’s lino prints – simple, but hilarious animal scenes that always bring a smile to my face. I also covet her tea towels.
Thanks, Kori! I hadn’t seen Melanie Wickham’s shop before–love it!
I’m so glad you reminded me of Emily Winfield Martin! I favorited one of her prints quite some time ago, but forgot to favorite her shop. Revisiting it reminds me of all the prints I want to buy from her…of course, I also just posted a tour of my apartment on my blog and somehow looking at photos someone else shot of it, makes me all the more aware of…wow, I really do have a lot of things on my wall, ha. And everywhere, really. I’m kind of an art/vintage/antiques/odd-things collecting junkie. ^_^
Your house tour is amazing! And surely there is room for a few more special pieces. 🙂 The photos are beautiful, congratulations!
Thank you so much, Mera! That’s so nice to hear. And yes, I agree, I always joke that there not be even an inch blank wall space by the time I move out of this place, ha. Although meanwhile, I may go broke buying frames for art and really should learn how to make my own! 🙂
One of my favorite Etsy shops is beyondher – https://www.etsy.com/shop/beyondher. Gorgeous screen printed textiles!
Oh, now I really want one of her totes. And a tea towel.
I love her Daddy Longlegs waxed tote, thanks for sharing!
I get a kick out of the illustration prints from Studio Tuesday. I originally bought the hot air balloons above beluga-d waters as nursery art for my son. Now that he’s getting to be a second grader, I should admit it’s not nursery art when it’s hanging in the hallway by our kitchen and I enjoy them for myself.

I’m impressed by his two distinct styles, both of which really appeal to me. I love his whale chart, thanks Lea! 🙂
love those pieces from lisa garcia! I’m not a huge fan of all the macrame stuff either, but these I can envision having in my home! great finds.
